they ave bloody murdered a brill song
July 18th, 2005 at 23:33
It’s an awful track! They have just taken a great 80s track (Heartache Avenue), then ruined it by rapping over it! It seems the latest thing with rappers now a days, they can’t think of any music of their own, so they have to rip off a load of old 80s tracks, then talk all over them!
Roll deep are just Dizzee Rascal copies, which is bad enough seeing as he can’t sing to save his life!
July 19th, 2005 at 1:46
What an absolute pile of shit !!! I know, lets take one of the worse 80’s songs and attempt a crappy rap over it and then hold up a sign for E14 showing that you are proud to be from Canary Wharf…..well being from London I think you are quite sad ! And the music lately is dire…..we are falling into the EUROTRAP of crap songs..!!!!
July 19th, 2005 at 1:50
yeah well right innit , ee’s just like copiee’d me like innit, fing is though rite innit is that his is rubbish and he is like ruining some wicke’d toons man…
July 20th, 2005 at 8:08
all people who dont like roll deep and i bet that dizee rascal aint even dizzee rascal its just sum kid who cant be bovered to make a name. dont sayin that dizzee rascals crap he let roll deep bcause he wanted a career then roll deep come back with a song 10x better or 100x better then anything dizzees ever done
July 25th, 2005 at 14:31
…erm, who cares??! It was never meant to be a deep & meaningful song. Its a great party tune to sing along to in the car. It’ll soon be lost in ‘One Hit Wonder’land so dont fret. I never EVER buy pop albums, but they do serve a purpose. Keeps the kids happy an all that.
July 27th, 2005 at 3:34
I must say that this is probably the worst song I have ever heard. Its an 80’s song playing in the background, and rapped over on two verses. Thats it.
If you add up the time spend rapping its about 40 seconds, and the rest is the 80’s track playing on its own, they might have well just re-released Heartbreak Avenue by its self. Try writing your own songs, you muppets.
July 27th, 2005 at 12:08
woohoo thanks for tellin me who sang it :p Put in “heartache avenue dizzee” and this site came up on google xD
July 28th, 2005 at 1:19
Yeah, I agree with Mob, such a pile of shite. they spend more time just listening to the origional, then coming in to rap only twice !! Please Please ban it.
July 28th, 2005 at 12:43
I luv dis tune, i tink da whole point was to rap ova it makin it fresh and da lyrics ga wid da tune i fink its sik, bit to short do. Roll deep r Heavy, listen to der album. Dizee rascal’s raps bad. Wiley has made it big aint it so na u cant say jak bout dem do i do get y sum y’all dont like it aint it.

i agree with Amreen, this track is amazing. as good as when one of the guys in wu tang just rapped on top of old soul songs that still had vocals but he just fucked it over. genius.
August 3rd, 2005 at 20:45
Being totally objective I can say that The Avanue (check the video-clip at roll-deep.com) is the tune of the millenium, and yes I include the coming 995 years in that too. All you fakes out there, I only have one thing to say you, roll deep is simlpy just 2 phuture 4 you.

August 18th, 2005 at 20:56
Roll Deep and the other violent gang-related “grime” ahem,”artists” have played a big part in making the London club/dance music scene grind to a halt, turning happy clubs moody in the time it takes for them to start exhorting gunshots from the crowd, etc. Now “thanks” to a record label they look stupid doing dance routines on Top of the Pops over this cheesy, tired sample.Made Blazing Squad look like the Jackson Five! No wonder TOTP is being cancelled.Their next tune copies a nursery rhyme, original stuff eh! Roll Deep (and The Streets too) - both typical over-hyped rubbish that make it harder for real UK talent to be heard..
August 18th, 2005 at 21:17
Oh,and Dizzee Rascal,Kano, they’re rubbish too.Generally no-one in the grime scene can actually write music, hence the long samples of other people’s work in their tunes.
August 27th, 2005 at 21:07
i fink dis must b da sickest song eva been brought out! i listen to it 24/7 its hugeeeeeeeee!
